A new boutique had opened in Sylvanian Village.
Freya the Chocolate Rabbit girl peered into the grand window and gasped at the sight.
“It’s so beautiful!” she cried.
The shopkeeper, Cecilia the Persian Cat mother , greeted the customers. She was wearing a beautiful dress. The shop was full of gorgeous dresses and sparkling jewellery. Freya had never seen such wonderful things to wear.
Just then, Freya caught sight of some beautiful pink earrings in the window.
“Wow”, she thought.
“It’s so pretty!”
She wanted to buy it but felt too shy to walk into such a fancy boutique on her own. Freya came back many times to look through the window of the boutique. One day, Cecilia opened the door, smiled kindly at Freya and said
“Would you like to come inside, sweetheart?”
Freya nervously entered the boutique.
“You like this, don’t you?”
said Cecilia, taking the earring out of the glass case.
Just then, Freya noticed that there was a beautiful necklace there too.
“Wow!” she thought.
“That would look perfect on Mum.”
Freya decided to buy her mother the necklace as a present.
The next Sunday, Freya presented her mother with the lovely necklace. Her mother was very happy
- and she had a surprise for Freya too!
“I bought you something yesterday”, she said.
“I think it will look good on you.”
She handed over the present. It was the pink earring that Freya had been admiring! Freya was delighted.
“I’ve always wanted this!” she said.
Freya told her mother about her trip to the boutique.
“I was nervous when I went inside, but it was so wonderful!”
Freya’s mother smiled.
“Come to think of it, it’s the Walnut Squirrel family’s party soon, isn’t it? Let’s go to the boutique again and buy dresses to match those earrings.”
Freya and her mother put on the earrings and necklace and drove to the boutique in their convertible.
“Hello again!” said Cecilia, smiling.
She chose lovely dresses for Freya and her mother to try on.
“Wow!” said Freya as she gazed at her reflection in the mirror.
Freya had only dreamed about wearing such a wonderful dress.
“These would look nice with your dresses, don’t you think?”
suggested Cecilia, bringing two matching handbags in different colours.
Freya and her mother put the handbags over their shoulders. Freya’s handbag went perfectly with her dress.
“I look like a princess!”
said Freya delightedly, twirling around.
A nd so Cecilia the Persian Cat mother made the Sylvanian women and girls’ dreams come true with her wonderful boutique.
